What are RCOs?
Refugee Community Organisations (RCOs) are community-led groups that support refugees and asylum seekers.
LRF works with RCOs after their creation and hosts meetings to facilitate discussions about different refugee communities. This develops positive links between communities from different backgrounds and mobilizes different groups to advocate for the needs and aspirations of refugee and asylum-seeker communities.
What do RCOs do?
- Organise cultural events
- Offer advocacy services
- Offer ESOL classes
- Support members in building IT or English skills
- Host other activities
